What can we say? Except WOW our wedding day was the best day of our lives and it wouldnt have been possible without you all. You all went above and beyond with your love and kindness and professionalism and we appreciate you all so much. We have received SO many complements that it was the best wedding our guests had ever been to - best venue, best food, best music even down to the wine, cocktails and special coffee you made for My husband and I. We cant wait to come back already and wish we could do it all again!! Thank you!!!

Jasmine was amazing in the 12-months leading up to the wedding, nothing was a hassle and made the whole planning process so stress-free and enjoyable. Also thank you to the staff who were working on the day, including Kelly and Emma, both so lovely and looked after us so well. And to all staff on the day, the service and food was exceptional! To the Head Chef - wow! - all of our guests commented on how incredible the food was, everyone said it was the best barramundi they had ever had! Gunners Barracks is a stunning venue for a wedding and the service, stuff and food is next level. Thank you so much for making it such a special day for us.

A classy and 5 star wedding venue! Seamless process from planning to the actual wedding day. Georgia on the wedding day was so helpful and ensured the day went smoothly. The venue was so, so beautiful! The views were amazing and the sandstone venue itself added to the authentic wedding vibe. I had so many compliments on the delicious food as well. Perfect!

My husband and I recently held our wedding at Gunners' Barracks. It was the first venue we inspected. We immediately knew it was where we wanted to get married and booked a date that was just over three months away.

Despite the tight timeline, the planning process was enjoyable and stress-free largely thanks to our event coordinator, Gabriella. Gabriella was a pleasure to work with, ensuring that all of our questions were answered promptly and that every detail was taken care of. The venue manager and staff on the night were also exceptional. They were friendly, attentive, and made sure that our guests were well taken care of.

Overall, Gunners' Barracks exceeded our expectations in every way. It's a truly magical location for a wedding, and we're so grateful to have had the opportunity to celebrate our special day there. We had an intimate Hindu wedding ceremony and reception at Gunners Barracks. The day was everything we could have dreamt of and more! The setting was, of course, absolutely stunning - both in terms of the building itself as well as the gorgeous harbour views (providing us with numerous picturesque spots for photos). What made our day even more special was their willingness and dedication to accomodate a non-Western wedding ceremony.

The communication from Jasmine (our dedicated coordinator) in the lead up to the day was also phenomenal. She was quick to respond to emails, respectful, and friendly. On the day, Kelly (venue manager) and the rest of the team looked after us very well. They added thoughtful touches in the bridal suite and were very attentive throughout the night. They treated all our guests with respect and did everything with a smile. Also, as our ceremony was outdoors in the peak of winter, they even provided heaters and blankets for our guests!

The staff were friendly, helpful and professional as expected for this white table service. Ideal for a couples, bridal parties, family and friends with large groups. Will come here again!

Wonderful experience! We had high tea and had a lovely time. The gentleman who greeted us was very friendly and welcoming. The service was good and the food and tea were very tasty! They went above and beyond to accommodate vegetarian and gluten free sandwiches/baked goods. Also has incredible views!

We held our wedding at Gunners Barracks in March 2023, and it was absolutely perfect! We loved every minute and got so many compliments from our guests on the location, the food, the drinks, the views, and the professionality of the staff. Our event planner, Jasmine, was super helpful and thorough with helping us plan every detail and addressing all our questions, and our venue manager on the night, Brooke, was a delight and looked after our every need.
We cant recommend the venue enough and are so glad we can come back for anniversary dinners to celebrate and enjoy this gorgeous spot again in the future.

We saw a number of wedding venues in Sydney and Gunners Barracks was by far our favourite. We were not disappointed! All the staff were so professional and friendly. Always an amazing view and a high tea to die for

My mum and I had a high tea with champagne. It was great food and a good amount, we were over stuffed. Usually high teas don't fill you up, but this one did.

Service was great as well

Just came back from gunners barracks celebrating my mums 57th birthday with a cocktail high tea, ladies and gentlemen 5 stars doesnt do this place justice! The service, the food, the views my mums smile hasnt left her face!

The front desk lady Kelly and waitress Chloe took care of EVERYTHING, Absolutely worth their weight in gold. this may have been my 1st high tea ever but because of those 2 lovely ladies it wont be our last!!!

We had our wedding here in May and honestly it was fantastic! The venue was so accomodating and Jasmine our coordinator was responsive and wonderful! On the night everything ran like clockwork and not to mention the food was abundant and delicious! Our guests were very impressed!

Outstanding from start to finish. Gunners Barracks hosted my wedding in July of 2023 and was an incredible venue (staffed by an incredible team) from planning right through to the big day. Special thanks go to Gabriella (you're a star!), the big boss on the night William (who was everywhere at all times and so accomodating), and the entire wait staff who kept drinks in hands and smiles on faces. Gunners is an absolutely stunning venue, with its sweeping Harbour views and a cosy yet beautiful sandstone courtyard for an intimate wedding.

The food and beverage of our wedding night were absolutely wonderful, and the compliments kept flowing through weeks after the celebration! Our wedding coordinator Gabriella was extremely helpful and patient with us, holding our hands through our wedding planning. Willem the venue manager on the wedding night made sure everyone's well take care of. The rest of the staff who worked that evening were also extremely attentive and professional.

Gunners Barracks is so beautiful, with its antique decor and stunning views, we knew we chose the best place to have our wedding. We also loved the fact that everything is in the one place (ceremony & reception) and that there is a wet weather option back up.

We stumbled across Gunners Barracks because we wanted somewhere with harbour views, but not right on the water so it ticked that box. The other boxes we wanted ticked were:

Delicious food - everything tasted so good, our guests raved about it
Organised and reliable staff - this was a lifesaver! Wedding planning can be stressful, but we never felt worried about anything to do with Gunners Barracks. Our coordinator was Gabriella and she was always prompt with communication
Good photo spots - we were spoilt for choice with this!

Emma was our coordinator on the day and she was like a little fairy in the background making sure everything ran smoothly, which it did! Our dinner was nice and intimate in the dining room and we danced the night away under the stars and fairy lights afterwards.

Weve decided we will be coming back to Gunners Barracks for a high tea on our anniversary!

PanKind The Australian Pancreatic Cancer Foundation held their 15 Year Anniversary cocktail party at the Gunners Barracks and were delighted with not only the venue but the food and service was impeccable. Gabriella, our event manager, worked tirelessly to make sure every detail was taken care of. On the night, Emma, our manager on the night made sure everything worked efficiently and kept an eye on all the proceedings. We were delighted with the service and professionalism of everyone involved.

Bride Tribe and myself planned a wonderful bridal shower for our bride to be at Gunners Barracks. Jasmine the event planner was absolutely amazing to the lead up of the event, she was so helpful and patient with me as I'm a stress head and had a million questions. She was always happy to help! On the day I believe we had manager Emma and Charlotte our wait staff to assist us through the day and they both did an incredible job to ensure we were looked after and were always checking in. Always had a smile on their face which was just lovely to see! Beautiful venue, beautiful vibes!

Gunners was the first venue my partner and I looked at as a possible wedding venue. There are many reasons why we ended up landing with Gunners as our chosen venue for our big day. Firstly, the space itself was intimate, elegant and provided incredible harbour views. We were greeted with genuine conversation and we had all our queries responded to. Kylie first helped answer all our questions and it always felt relaxed and the vibe of the staff was always professional.

6 months prior we had the pleasure of being assigned to Jasmine. She always responded to our calls and emails promptly, which was a big win for us. We loved that communication was clear and transparent. All the lead up of planning went seamlessly and I couldn't be more grateful as this made the process of wedding planning much easier. Her team were well versed on the day. Willem on the day of was attentive, thoughtful and continued to check in with us as well as looking after every single guest. Our guests raved about the stunning views from the harbour terrace, the abundance of canapes, the quality of the sit down meals and the brilliant courtyard space we had our dancefloor on.

Would highly recommend this team and the venue for a wedding. We are thrilled with how smoothly our wedding day went, all thanks to their professionalism and genuine passion for what they do.

This amazing venue was host to my wedding and it was the most perfect day. Not a single hiccup at any point. Jasmine was our contact person and was the perfect person to help us organise our day. She was so organised and patient with us as we were not always so organised.

William, our event manager for the Sunday night of our wedding, was so friendly and professional and made all the guests feel at home and comfortable. I cannot express my gratitude to him enough. I would also like to thank Gabriella who assisted in her coordination of the event, and for all the waitstaff on the night who assisted with setting up and serving our guests. The venue's ambiance was just so cosy and lovely, and we could not have asked for a better place to have our wedding.

My wife and I chose this to be our venue for the wedding ceremony and reception back in March. There was something about this place that caught my eye when we were scoping for venues, the fact it's got the amazing view of the bay, its quiet and had an exclusive feel. It was a truly magical day.

Kylie was our first point of contact for both providing the wedding packages and the tour of the venue, she answered all of our questions and provided a preview of what could be. Without her we would not have chosen Gunners' Barracks in the first place.

Another huge shoutout to Jasmine, she was probably the most patient person on earth to help organise our wedding venue details. Whether it was following up with gentle reminders or clarifications, Jasmine went to amazing lengths to make adjustments to our initial plans, provided contingencies and like Kylie, was fully transparent the whole journey.

I didn't manage to catch the names of any of the other serving staff, but I can confidently say their whole team is amazing. The service they provided, the food they catered, everything ran smoothly from start to finish and I would give anything to rewind and experience it all again, we both would.

I feel like I cannot thank you all enough for giving us a phenomenal wedding. I'm so happy a friend of mine recommended we check it out, because now I'll be doing the same.

The menu is great of course with a price for the experience, ambiance, excellent service and breathtaking view of course. Perfect venue for small office events, wedding or birthday parties with style.

What an incredible venue! I'm a Sydney wedding photographer (Reel Imagination Photography) and i've been too many venues and can honestly say Gunners Barracks is one of my favourites. The building itself is stunning, the staff are amazing and the food was ridiculously good - particularly the beef cheek! Highly recommend any couples looking for a venue look at Gunners Barracks.

It was such a lovely high tea with a fine selection of teas and sweet/savoury treats to compliment. Usually Im a bit sceptical of the quality of food at these high tea places but all the dishes were delicious. The blackberry jam for the scones were so good. I enjoyed each and every one of the cakes and sandwiches! I took my mum here and it made a beautiful mother-daughter brunch for us. Parking was easy and the waiters came to refill the hot water for our teas several times. There were other children enjoying their high teas with their families too and it wasnt overly noisy, very relaxing high tea with a beautiful view.

One of my favourite restaurants in Sydney. Cant find faults in their food, service and the setting. Not only the high tea is recommended, but their lunch and dinner are also worth trying.

Gabriella, Kylie, and William were all so so helpful in the preparation and execution of our special day. Although it was rainy and we didn't make use of the lawn like we had planned, we were able to pull up the walls of the terrace for an indoor / outdoor feel. I honestly think the views were even more spectacular (if that's possible). Kylie helped to guide us in the early stages of our planning, giving us a video phone tour since we were planning from overseas and answering every panicked single line email question that we had. Gabriella kept us organized and on track - no small feat when planning a wedding from across an ocean! She was so patient with all of our random questions that we flung at her out of nowhere when I woke up in a panic about some part of the wedding planning process (). William was a calming presence the day of, kept our procession in order, and moved fast to accommodate things like opening up the terrace walls and ceiling, moving the DJ outside, and serving some of our guests NA beers. We truly had the time of our lives at our wedding at Gunners Barracks. Everyone made us feel so catered to, and our guests had an amazing time dancing away under the fairy lights - despite the wet conditions earlier. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for being part of our special day. We can't wait to come back for high tea and anniversary celebrations when we visit our family in Sydney.

The perfect venue! We looked at a few places for our wedding, and Gunners Barracks was perfect from the moment we walked in. The building and outlook is stunning. The food and drinks are delicious. Gabriella was professional, knowledgeable and accommodating for all our requests. She made us feel at ease in the mountain of things to get ready. On the day all the staff were so caring and helped to make our evening as magical as we imagined. Brooke in particular was just so lovely.

We celebrated my Mum's 60th birthday here & had an absolutely lovely time. The food was delicious & they catered so well to our various dietary requirements, especially vegan. The service was great overall & a special thank you to Dylan who patiently took many photos for our celebration & fixed my drink order which was the only thing they messed up. Beautiful venue in an awesome location. Highly recommend :)

We had our wedding at Gunners Barracks last night, and wanted to pass on our most sincere thanks to the team for an incredible night.

We visited Gunners Barracks about a year ago, and between the initial sit-down with our early coordinator Jasmine, and a lengthy impromptu conversation with Kelly, we knew we had our place. We cant properly describe what that conversation with Kelly entailed - just that it became so obvious that this was a group of people who genuinely care. Our subsequent menu tastings, hosted by Willem, have only sought to further this feeling.

Nothing of this process has been transactional, it has felt truly special.

The planning process has been exceptional, with Jasmine undertaking all of our early-stage planning and Jessica bringing through to the big day. Jessicas communication is highly responsive and exquisite in its clarity, no question is too onerous, and she helped us play around with various options to dial the day in to represent something that was truly us. She is extremely good at her job; put simply, if my business was in the same industry Id already be trying to poach her.

We received nothing but the highest compliments for the venue, the food and the service last night. Even though it was a wild and woolly day, absolutely everything came together thanks to Emmas management on the night. Her calmness and positivity give you so much confidence, and allowed us to relax into the night knowing she had everything covered. All of our guests had an incredible time.

We were particularly grateful for all of the time and effort that the Head Chef spent in ensuring all our guests with dietary requirements were well-catered for. Ive lost count of how many of them expressed that theyd never had such amazing service.

You are a superbly well-run team, who clearly enjoy working together and it shows in the care you have for everyone.

We have been unbelievably impressed throughout the journey, and last night was the icing. We couldnt have asked for a better evening.

We attended for a private function. Food was to die for, staff were friendly, prompt and accommodating and the venue and view were beautiful. Definitely will return!

Very impressed with the service offered at my son's wedding. All the staff were very accommodating, and pleasant especially the delightful and supportive Kalli who would go the extra mile. We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Gunners Barracks recently and it was perfect! The spaces flow beautifully, from the ceremony in the beautiful sandstone courtyard, cocktails with the harbour view on the terrace through the dining room back to the courtyard later for dancing under the fairy lights. Our wedding coordinator Jasmine was great, she was so helpful answering all our (many) questions the entire time we were planning our big day. Brooke and the staff were all fantastic on the day, they were so thoughtful of all the little things that really helped everything run like a dream! Our guests are still talking about the wonderful food and how great a time they had.
Thank you so much for helping us to create such a special day, we loved every minute!

What a wonderful place to have high tea. Absolutely magnificent! The view of the harbour combined with the serving of a sumptuous traditional English afternoon tea, is a great way to treat oneself, your friends and family. I was surprised by the many types of teas on offer, which enhances the Gunner's tea experience. The food was delicious and the table service was excellent.

My husband and I recently celebrated our cocktail style wedding at GB and were blown away by how amazing it was. The service was out of this world - William, the venue manager and the wedding coordinator event team led by Kelly were outstandingly friendly and accommodating. All of our guests have commented how incredible the service, views, food and drinks were. Thank you GB for creating a wonderful day for us. We would highly recommend GB to anyone and everyone!

We went to this tea room based on an advert i'd seen on Time Out. I thought it would be a nice place to take my mum for High Tea for her birthday as she lives in Freshwater. We had a table on the verandah, and the views of the harbour were brilliant. The service was wonderful, and I was surprised that they organised a special high tea for my mother, who is a diabetic. The food was yummy, and the selection of teas were great. The only suggestion would be to have fans on the verandah ceilings to cool the verandah and a large restaurant sign in the carpark to direct patrons towards the stairs. It was overall a wonderful, relaxing experience with tasty food, and a gorgeous bushland and harbour setting. We all loved it.

What an amazing wedding venue! From our very first look around we knew we wanted to get married here, and the staff were so welcoming and accomodating of our requests. Gabriella was outstanding to work with throughout the planning process. She was incredibly organised. No question was too silly and no request was too difficult.
The weather on the day threw out most of our original plans, but due to the design of the venue and the wedding coordination, Kelly and her team were able to pull off a fantastic plan B for us and seemed to anticipate our needs before we did.
On returning to the venue after the wedding, we were once again extremely welcomed and Kelly was fantastically kind. We wish we could do it all over again! Thank you GB.

We had an incredible experience at Gunters Barack today during our high tea for two for our anniversary. At $75 per person, its an absolute steal for the beautiful ambiance, delicious food, and impeccable service. The staff went above and beyond to make our day special. We requested a terrace seat, and they not only fulfilled our request but also treated us to a breathtaking view of the ocean and Harbor. The entire staff was amazing, and the attention to detail in the food was spot on.

Special kudos to the staff for their grace when my friend accidentally spilled his chai latte. They handled it with such cool professionalism, quickly replacing it with a new one. Their kindness and understanding truly made our experience memorable. Highly recommend Gunters Barack to everyone WE WILL BE BACK!! a perfect blend of elegance, delectable treats, and exceptional service!

Had the most amazing lunch. Meals were delicious. The staff were so lovely. Can not fault this experience from the moment we walked in until we left. I would definitely go back again.

I cannot recommend the Gunners Barracks highly enough. We dined there for lunch in early January, and also had a site tour for our wedding. The food was incredible; beautiful presentation, fresh, and perfectly cooked.

The site tour staff were incredibly accommodating, professional, friendly and welcoming. Afterwards, the events staff were fantastic; they were happy to call to discuss requests we had, nothing was too much trouble for them, and went above and beyond to made us feel important to the Gunners Barracks.

If youre planning an event, or want a beautiful meal with an incredible view, I would absolutely recommend the Gunners Barracks.

We can't imagine our wedding being anywhere else.
The venue itself is so stunning you barely need any styling/decorations. But what really makes it is the Staff, Jessica our wedding coordinator was always friendly and helpful. Emma the venue manager on the night had so much knowledge and was so friendly she even ran after us to make sure our dresses looked perfect as we walled down the aisle. And Dom who looked after us all the om Bridal table was so speedy and quick. All the lovely friendly staff especially the bartenders worked so fast and the food was so delicious so huge thanks to the Chef. We did have another manager on the night who was 10/10 amazing. She was there the next day when we collected our things but we sadly never caught (or had to much to drink to remember) her name.
Thank you so much to everyone if we could get married there again we would can't wait for high tea on our 1 year anniversary

How have I not reviewed this place yet??? I came here for lunch with my partner to celebrate our 1 year anniversary last year, and it was an unforgettable experience. For the price, the food and drinks were amazing. The service was spectacular, super friendly and made us feel welcomed and made us laugh as well. The atmosphere was romantic, with a beautiful view of nature and the waterside. Could not recommend this place enough to celebrate an anniversary or special occasion with your loved one

Had high tea here with my family. I got the vegan version and was impressed by how good it was! The sandwiches were good, and the vegan scones were delicious.

From the very beginning and all through the organising phase, Jessica made the entire process so incredibly easy and stress free. Jessica was there to help us understand every fine detail about the wedding and how the day would be run. On top of this, she was super easy to get in contact with (both over the phone and email - really responsive and very quick to reply to emails) and answer our niche or weird questions about the ceremony and reception. Jessica made simplified everything for us but was also meticulous in ensuring all of our needs were met on the day.

The staff on the day of the wedding we're fantastic. Tom and his team were incredibly helpful, calm, and available all throughout the evening and night. Their service during the dinner was impeccable and their ability to go be flexible with certain things was amazing.

Gunners barracks is an incredible spot for a wedding and I can't thank their staff enough for the amazing job they did from start to finish.

Thank you soo much for making our special day (wedding) run soo smoothly. The whole process was looked after so well. Usually at reception menu tasting the food is better than actual day but the food was outstanding better than the tasting day. Great ambience, professional waiters.

Attended a wedding here, loved it so much I then hosted my own wedding here the following year. Gabriella was a great event coordinator (organised and prompt) and Tom was a great venue manager on the night with his clear instructions! Highly recommend the venue with a heritage and personalised feel, with harbour views!

Gunners Barracks offers unique zonings that enrich the guest experience. Not only were we captivated by the venue's charm, but our guests were equally impressed by the ambiance and, most importantly, the food.

A special mention must go to Gabriella Abreu, the Event Sales Coordinator. Gabriella was incredibly accommodating and responsive to all our inquiries and arrangements. Her attention to detail and systematic approach ensured that our questions were answered thoroughly, making us feel completely at ease. Her follow-through on our requests was impeccable, and her positive vibe and constant smile added a wonderful touch to our interactions.

Additionally, Tom, the operations manager, was outstanding on the day of our wedding. He was proactive and ensured things ran smoothly with MC and bridal party. His efforts were crucial in making our special day memorable.

Can't leave a starred review but website and google need to advise that this place is closed. I drove here and there's construction going on with no date on google to say when it will be open again. Also no signs upon entering road that it is closed until you walk down to the site.
