High tea at the tea room was a fantastic experience from great service, ambience and the food. If youre looking for an old-fashioned high tea with a great feel, Id highly recommend the tea room. Compared to other high teas Ive tried before this was worth the money!

Perfect

I have been to a number of high teas throughout Sydney and a renowned one in Melbourne but The Tea Room is by far the best. Everything is the perfect amount of sweet and savoury, there is a wide range of teas available, and we were even given a little cake as it was our anniversary. What adds to the atmosphere is the beautiful room with chandeliers and patterned ceiling. The service staff are delightful and always had a smile. This is such a lovely place to catch up with friends or celebrate an anniversary. I will most definitely be going again for a special occasion! Thank you

The staff were very elegant, attentive and efficient. The food was lovely, and of a high quality. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of service. The staff asked if I would like to have a refill of the food and for more hot water added to my tea. We had the Spicy Vanilla Dream & Irish Whiskey Cream Tea Pots (theyre amazing with / without milk). The service is beyond First Class. Definitely would visit again!

Definitely the prettiest high tea Ive had in Sydney.. like just look at the plates and set up Wasnt cheap at $70pp but you get a range of savoury tasters and sandwiches as well as sweet treats and of course a massive scone with cream and jam each. You also get to choose a tea/coffee each which was nice. Service was very friendly and interior was very beautiful. They also cater to dietary requirements - usually you need to give a days notice but they were able to get a DF set up for one of us.

The chandeliers are absolutely timeless and stunning. The decor and decorations are world-class.

I was here for an International Womens Day event. The high tea was divine, and the food was on point!

Fantastic high tea with wonderful service, arguably one of the best in Sydney. You feel like royals for a day and the ambience is breathtaking.

They were so accomodating with our dietary requirements which we let them know in advance.

If you go here, make sure to order the Earl Grey. It is truly the best, even if you dont usually drink Earl greys. Our family loved it so much that we paid extra to get another tea pot of it!

The service was perfect, the girls are so attentive and kind. It is a great experience.

Amazing place to have a nice high tea with friends

My lunch date and I were looking for a brunch place and this seemed to this most sensible option. Courteous staff of course, We elected the Traditional High Tea. Earl grey and long black for our beverges. We expect to have much leftover, but ended up smashing it all and leaving the plates clean.

Heavenly scones - the cream and jam were light and didn't interfere with the scones' natural flavor.
All sweets (4 pieces x 2) were consumed in jiffy, contrary to any recent weight concerns.
As a fan of earl grey tea in general, unsprisingly, the tea leaves were of quality that would bring me back for the tea alone.

The Tea Room is classic, elegant and beautifully decorated. The food is delicious and there are a huge collection of tea to choose from. This well located high tea place is perfect for a small gathering of friends to enjoy their afternoon together. The staff are friendly and professional which also add on to the wonderful experience you will get here. Recommend this place to everyone to try.

What a great experience. We didnt have a booking but were lucky enough to get in. Beautiful room and although the tables seem close, youre still seated in a way where you can talk amongst yourselves without overhearing anyone elses conversations.

Absolute stellar service. A great ambience about the place. My first high tea experience and its one Ill definitely remember.

Would recommend for a lovely outing. Is it a little pricey? Sure. But youre definitely paying for the full experience which is absolutely worth it.

Arabella was our events coordinator leading towards our wedding at the QVB. She was calm, collective, supportive and listened to our thoughts for the day that ran smoothly.

Philip and I was so happy when everything went into place. We just got married on Friday and the service was amazing. Sharon and Michael looked after us on the day of wedding and we had an amazing time.

Our guest was in love with the food, services and most all enjoying our reception and couldn't believe the beautiful detailed in the tea room. We definitely recommend this service to anyone who is looking for a reception place.

I wanted to thank my friend for being so kind and thoughtful over almost 55 years of friendship. This was the perfect place! The setting was perfect because we could both travel there from the east and the west on public transport. Every single mouthful of the food was delicious and the servings were generous. The most outstanding aspect of our visit was the beautiful thoughtful service. We were graciously welcomed by Sharon who was kind and attentive the whole time we were there. Good business thrives on people like Sharon. Camille also offered great service. It is not often that I could afford to visit The Tea Room in the gorgeous QVB building but it was the most perfect way to celebrate friendship.

I love this place, I celebrate my birthday here every year. This time with my daughter and granddaughters.

As a French I was delighted by the quality of the fresh man made pasteries. You could really feel the passion behind it.
I have to thank Sharon and the staff for explaining us the delicacies.
I highly recommend to try it.

We had a nice time enjoying the nice ballet room drinking delicate tea and having snacks. We had Sharon explaining to us how to properly use the ustensils to benefit fully from the experience.
We had a wonderful time and we fully recommend this place.

My experience here was exceptional. I was with my mum for her birthday and my 9yo niece and it was fantastic. The team provided excellent service, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was quiet and calm (even for such a busy time). Sharon went above and beyond in engaging and entertaining us; she was excellent with my neice, who now can't wait to come back for another adventure with her!

We had High tea today at the tea room and everything was quality from the food to customer service to the place itself. I highly recommend this place for high tea to anyone wanting an all up experience.

We recently had our wedding reception at the QVB Tearoom and had the most amazing experience. Our event coordinator Arabella was on the ball from start to finish making sure everything was planned to perfection. My wife and I had our wedding at the Team Room and had an amazing time, and can think of no other venue that would have been able to top the experience we had.

On the night, the managers Sharon and Michael were great and made sure we were happy throughout the entire time. All the guests praised Sharon's attentiveness and efforts (and Michael's) to ensure things were running smoothly.

Had my wedding reception here. Staff were so helpful during every step along the way. They were quick to respond to emails and allowed me to feel relaxed on my wedding day as I knew the staff had it covered. Food and atmosphere was exactly how I wanted it. Would recommend as a wedding reception !

The foods were decent for the price tag. The scones, similar to the size of a burger, tasted good but a little too large. I couldnt eat any other stuffs after finishing the scones. Service was exceptional. The waiting staff was very responsive to customers requests. The place was quiet and not too crowded. Its perfect for special occasions. I would give them a perfect score had they provided the option of lactose-free milk (they offered almond milk or soy milk as alternative but they just taste different). Since my local cafes and even cafe at Timezone (a game arcade) serve lactose-free milk at no extra cost, I do expect such option to be available at a fine-dining restaurant.

Beautiful high tea in old world charms

I was treated to a high tea in the ballroom and enjoyed a lovely afternoon. Plenty of food was delivered, and the tea menu was extensive. The settings were pretty and in keeping with the age of the venue itself, that being the chandelier lit, former ballroom. Staff were lovely and explained each item on the plates and then came back later with hot water to fill our teapots. They possibly could have offered another tea refill or choice of tea, but that's not a problem as we could have just asked if we really wanted anything more.

The experience was very pleasant, the gluten free food was delicious, and a very memorable part of my trip to Sydney.

Classic English Afternoon Tea

My wife and I came last week on the off chance we could celebrate our anniversary here without having a booking. The young man was polite from the very beginning and showed us to a very cute little table by the window. His service was very professional and he was more than happy to answer any questions we had about the menu.

The dining room is so elegant and tables are set beautifully. All of the food was faultless and is deceivingly quite filling.

We look forward to our next visit

The most Luxurious tea room Ive ever been to. Fine China tea set, tasty cake and sweet, nice music, spacious floor.I love all of them. We had good time there.

What a great High Tea! My family and I have had the best time and the service was great.

The scones, clotted cream and jam were heavenly. They give you many tea selections and keep refilling your hot water. We did high tea and there is so much food we couldn't finish it all. The room and the entire Queen Victoria Building are beautiful. Yet, if you are new to high teas, you will feel comfortable and pampered. Service was excellent but not overwhelming.

I came here for my birthday not too long ago with my friend. We enjoyed the high tea and our server was very nice, I don't remember her name, though. The atmosphere was lovely, however I almost wish it were busier as the dining hall seemed a bit empty, but a few people came and went while we were there. I definitely enjoyed the savoury foods, especially the cute little sandwiches.

I recently hosted a corporate dinner at this venue, and I must commend Arabella, the Event Sales Coordinator, for making the entire event organisation a seamless experience. The venue's room is not only lovely but also spacious, providing a perfect fit for our group of approximately 60 attendees. The wait staff were friendly and attentive throughout the event, and there were no complaints from our guests regarding the food. Overall, it was a highly satisfying and enjoyable experience.

QVB High Tea with Santa
I can highly recommend this experience.
I attended with my grandchildren today, 5 and nearly 2 years old. Needless to say, nearly 2 was extremely wary of Santa, Santa and his beautiful fairy assistants did everything they could to make him feel comfortable, including Santa getting down on the floor! Kudos team for making the experience truly magical and achieving some lovely photos. The high tea was delicious and served by kind and attentive staff!

We recently had our wedding at the QVB Tea Room, and the service was absolutely impeccable.

From the planning and coordination with Arabella (Event Sales Coordinator), to the on-the-night Venue Manager Akshay who went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable night. We had the smoothest of weddings and all our guests had heaps of fun! The food is absolutely amazing, and I highly recommend the classic creme brulee as a dessert. The menu tasting is not to be missed!

10/10 highly recommend the coordinators, the venue managers, the venue, and the food. Will be back for the High Tea experience as well :)

First time at High Tea. I loved my experience and would definitely go back again. The service from the young manager and our waitress was wonderful. Cant wait to come back!

I came here with my mother, my mother has a special dietary requirement and to my suprise the tea room was one of the restaurants that did that special dietry, it was lovely and delicious! We have met one of the managers and i believe his name was adam, he give us some information about the room and the history behind it and he made our experience even better and would definitely recommend.

I'm a wedding photographer. I was thrilled with the service, particularly with the complimentary 'bread'. The table was overflowing with 'bread' to the point we didn't know what to do with it. I wish your visit to be abundant in 'bread' from the staff. When I get married, I will return in the hopes of obtaining more 'bread'.

We had our wedding here a few days ago and we're extremely happy with everything! From the food (which we received many compliments afterwards by our guests) to the staff, and the atmosphere. Our coordinator Carol did an excellent job sorting everything out for our event. She is very approachable, easy going and quickly replied to all emails. The venue was very accommodating to any requests we had to alter the menu, the seats etc around for us. On the night, we had Akshay and Joey making sure everything ran smoothly, which it did. They approached my parents and I a few times to check if we were happy with everything and to help out with anything that needed sorting. They did an excellent job making me feel at easy knowing that I could ask them for their help throughout the night (which wasn't needed anyway, because everything ran smoothly). All staff we dealt with on the night were very sweet and friendly

I've had many, many High Teas but none could compete with the excellent waitress service, the food quality & selection. It was delicious & an absolute delight & I hope to go back & try it all again soon.

If you want to experience high tea in a posh setting, this place is the place to be.

We went there to celebrate my sister's bride to be night.
We had a lovely time there. Great high tea but they are not cheap for sure. After we left, we just realised we never got our scones, which was very dissappointing.
The chandeliers in the room are so pretty and a great place for fancy and girly high tea.

Tried its lemon tart with white vanilla grapefruit tea.

The lemon tart is moist and delicious.

I would recommend the tea to person who prefer mild flavoured tea with subtle taste.

Given a high tea as a gift. Lovely experience, wonderful hot and cold finger food and selection of teas, beautiful space and requires time to enjoy. All staff were extremely polite and contributed to a relaxed but not stuffy atmosphere. Highly recommend as something to be experienced.

Fantastic venue. Attended a wedding reception here and this beautiful old stye room really fit the bill. Very large space with old world styling, excellent service and food supplied. Couldn't ask for more for this type of celebration. Well worth checking out.

We recently had our wedding at the Tea Room. The team were great with all the organisation pre-wedding, service on the night was very attentive and our guests really enjoyed the food. We would highly recommend it.

I went with a friend from overseas.
The interior of the store is European-like,and my friend was very happy.
The interior was nice, with high ceilings, allowing me to enjoy my tea at my own pace.
However, the tea set came with two scones, which were too big for us to finish

A few friends & I visited the lovely & elegant QVB Tea Room today (20/4/24) and even though we didnt have a book they politely accommodated us by allocating a table for us & we had a very enjoyable time. The high tea is reasonably priced & delicious, with equal amounts of sweet and savoury to please all palates. The mocktail was also very delicious & fruity! The decor & ambience are gorgeous, the staff are extremely friendly & I always enjoy visiting this Tea Room. Thanks again!! We left satisfied & very full :)
