welcome

Real Weddings has been named Australia’s ‘Magazine of the Year’ at the Publishers Australia Awards – for an unprecedented two years running!

And we’ve just launched our blog, so click here to see what’s inspiring us all at the Real Weddings studio.

You’ll find our award winning issue on sale now. We’ve been as ‘busy as bees’ creating this issue for you, which is perfectly apt given we’ve themed our bumper Summer issue with Birds, Bees and Butterflies!

Gardens are in bloom, the wedding season has begun in earnest and outdoor celebrations abound. Is there anything more romantic than gentle breezes, birdsong in the air and long, sunny days that turn to balmy evenings?

You’re sure to fall in love with the ideas in this issue; delicately pattered butterflies, sweet bird motifs, egg filled nests, fragrant flowers and brightly coloured bees. I love the idea of hanging wishes from a tree, real or otherwise, as a unique alternative to a guest book.

The garden provides endless inspiration for fresh and feminine ideas, so let your mind wander to creative possibilities.

As always, we’ve chosen Australia’s most exclusive weddings, showcasing the talented vision of the very best suppliers and given you 300+ ideas to help you as your bring your own vision to life.

It’s been ‘Lights, Camera, Action’ for me recently. I’ve been shooting segments for The Bride’s Guide on Channel Ten’s ‘9am with David and Kim’. We’ve taken Real Weddings on the road, so to speak, and have been interviewing delightful and talented people. From the spectacular jewels at Tiffany & Co (diamonds really are a girl’s best friend!) to the incredible couture designers who shared their beautiful gowns for modern, classic and sophisticated brides, to the hospitality shown to us at chic city venues, outdoor sites and waterfront location.

Soon, you’ll be able to see the segments on our website, so stay tuned! And don’t forget to download all of our incredible back issues as Digital Editions. There are literally thousands of gorgeous ideas!

Enjoy the planning of your big day,

Wishing you love and laughter,
