Coriole Vineyards, a family owned and operated winery, was established in 1967. The property features a courtyard, verandah, lawns, gardens, and cellar door. The function area is glamorous yet rustic with a stone wall, a floor to ceiling stone fireplace, floor to ceiling windows, and vine-covered ceiling. The original farmhouses were built in 1860 and are now the epicentre of the garden and cellar door.
Farmed by the Oliver family since 1841, Oliver’s White Hill displays an authentic atmosphere of a bygone era. Receptions are held in the 1850s chaff shed which adjoins the saddlery/tack room and blacksmith's workshop, the location of the bar area. The function area includes brick walls and polished timber trestles. The homestead is situated on a 420-acre property that includes a bed and breakfast with three large double bedrooms.
Penny’s Hill, established in 1995, offers four function rooms. The Gedney Room is part of the cellar door building and home of The Kitchen Door Restaurant. Drew’s Verandah is an enclosed space to which a marquee may be attached to extend onto the lawned area. The BBQ Inn is an outdoor undercover area with a beautiful fireplace. The Stables features a sawdust floor and open beamed ceiling. The 32-hectare property is enclosed by a limestone wall and post and rail fencing.
Pertaringa Winery is a Wines by Geoff Hardy property. The Barrel Shed, lined with wine barrels, provides a rustic space for receptions while the lawn overlooking the vineyard provides a peaceful ceremony spot. The venue encourages catering such as food trucks, wood oven pizzas, and canapé-style food for a stand-up affair. The cellar door is closed during weddings, giving couples exclusive use of the property and grounds.
The rustic wedding venues that are found in wineries throughout McLaren Vale offer a unique and romantic ambiance for a wedding, and they also offer additional services like overnight accommodation.
