Overnewton Castle Weddings

We recently had our wedding ceremony at Overnewton Castle and the venue is just beautiful. The colours in Autumn were magnificent and our wedding photos are like a something from a fairytale. I also stayed the night before at the cottage at the property and the bridal party and I got ready there before the function. The views were amazing and everyone had a great time getting ready there. It isn't an easy choice deciding where to hold your wedding but I knew from the moment I stepped into the grounds that this was the place. Very happy with our choice! Thank you so much to Emma and the team for being really easy to work with and accommodating!!

Went on a group tour and it was so enjoyable. Emma our guide was so passionate it was a delight learning the back story of the Castle as she grew up there and still very involved as one of the owners.....and her Dad still lives there, very personal and precious

Attended Overnewton Castle for the high tea and was pleasantly surprised! As soon as we arrived as well as at the end of our visit, Emma (the owners daughter) told us a bit of the history of the place/area. She was full of information and very passionate in its history. Food offered, whilst slightly sparse for the price, was fresh and appetising. Our dietary requirements were considered and they were happy to appease our needs. The staff, particularly Nusha, were very attentive and friendly. My daughter and wife also enjoyed the day. The place is very picturesque as can be seen in the photos. Overnewton Castle has so much to offer as in accommodation and wedding reception.

I had my wedding ceremony at Overnewton Castle and it matched my Disney themed wedding perfectly. All the staff were so helpful and friendly, ensuring the ceremony, rehearsal and preparation went smoothly. They were very organised and made sure I had everything I wanted and needed for my day. The views are stunning, and there are so many amazing places to take photos, both in and around the castle. Would definitely recommend having your wedding at Overnewton Castle.

Had a wonderful Valentines Day celebration here with my partner. Beautiful building and gorgeous gardens, perfect for a romantic stroll. Highly recommended, thank you!

Wow. That was the best time. I'm speechless. Tung and I are still basking in the energy of the day, especially the night.
Emma, Ashley, your team, and everyone working the night of our wedding was absolutely awesome. The guests were so happy. They even said how much they loved the bar tender! The guests left with full bellies and full of happiness. Cannot fault anything one little bit. These small things make everyone enjoy an event that extra bit.
We had three courses, drinks package, bar tab, cheese platters, fruit platters and cake platters because we wanted our guests to have a good time and be well fed, something very important that we didnt want to skimp on.
We comfortably fit 10 tables plus the bridal table and also had a four piece band, Salacious who were incredible.
So many people have queried me about having a wedding there so I suspect we might even be guests again there soon and I just cannot wait.
We are so glad we found this hidden little gem in Melbourne. Our wedding wouldn't have been the same anywhere else.
On top of this, you also pointed us to Mel Panteli who we are just so over the moon with. She's such a great woman and so talented. We don't know where we'd be if we didn't book her.
The wedding photography is absolutely incredible because the castle is absolutely beautiful.
Thank you also to Kaylene for stopping by in the morning to make sure we were ok and offering to help, that was so nice.
We also stayed in the cottage two nights and our parents in the stables and we just adored the accommodation.
Cannot thank you and express how full of gratitude we are.

Had a wonderful tour of Overnewton Castle with Lisa, followed by High Tea, where I tasted some of the best scones ever.

Food was amazing service was perfect great atmosphere a lot of good spots outside to take photos. If you want to book a function and enjoy your night this is a great option for you.

Overnewton Castle built in 1849 and now stands as a prominent heritage Scottish historical building style set amidst 4 acres of private tranquil English gardens making a perfect backdrop for any occasion. They cater for all functions and offer a variety of options.

The High Tea provided plenty of delicious food and value for money. The ambience was lovely in the spacious pretty natural lighting dining area. The staff were professional, helpful and polite. The garden was well maintained.

Highly recommended! So close to Melbourne CBD.

Came here recently for a wedding and it was an excellent venue. Great friendly staff and the catering was so yummy.
The gardens are beautifully lit at night especially around the lawns with the lights in the trees. Had fun with the guests watching crows, magpies and cockatoos flying between the trees. There are stairs and gravel on the driveway. There are accessible parking spots too which was much appreciated.

As a local, I've always passed the sign for the Castle along the Old Calder and wanted to visit. Love the idea of the midweek High Tea! Took my folks there today and they loved it too. I highly recommend doing the tour before the High Tea. It definitely added to the experience! Lisa is very knowledgeable and so informative about the history of the castle and the area of Keilor and surrounds. I learnt a lot and have a greater appreciation for the history of this area. They have done an amazing job restoring the castle, adhering to council standards, the National Trust and maintaining the grounds to be as presentable as it is and to be enjoyed by the community. Thank you for the experience :)

Hidden historical gem. Book the tour and high tea. You wont regret taking this special experience.

First time visiting this place. Was blown away with the buildings, landscaping and service. We attended a high tea for our daughters 50th birthday and were made welcome by the staff. There was ample food for everyone who attended and catered for my needs being GF. Bags were provided so guests could take food home. A lovely experience. Happy to recommend this place.

A very beautiful venue for a wedding!

Overall a really good vibe. Staff were really punctual and friendly. The place was simply beautiful and peaceful. I just became annoyed with all the bugs outside but that comes with the territory full of flowers, trees, bushes etc.

Our son & now daughter in laws' wedding was held at Overnewton Castle on Sat 18 Nov 23. From the ceremony to the reception, every expectation from the bride/groom was covered to a tee!! A big shoutout to Rachael & all the staff who were so welcoming & obliging to everyone attending!!

Emma and her team hosted the Brimbank Business Breakfast and it went off without a hitch. The space is to warm and inviting and created a great atmosphere for mingling and networking.

High Tea was delicious, and so much food, we couldn't eat it all. We then joined the tour - what an amazing venue and story, Emma is so passionate about the house and her stories were wonderful. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend doing the tour before the High Tea. It definitely added to the experience! Lisa is very knowledgeable and so informative about the history of the castle and the area of Keilor and surrounds. I learnt a lot and have a greater appreciation for the history of this area. They have done an amazing job restoring the castle, adhering to council standards, the National Trust and maintaining the grounds to be as presentable as it is and to be enjoyed by the community. The guided tour was an excellent way to showcase this beautiful castle. Followed by a delicious high tea in the dining room, we had a great day. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Had the mid-week high tea and history tour. The history tour was fantastic, so much information about Keilor and Melbourne area and the Castle/Estate itself. Nice views and surrounds was a bonus. Was disappointed that the ghosts didn't show up to say hi though. High Tea was delicious and the wait staff were very attentive. Recommended activity for the western side of Melbourne.
