InterContinental Sydney Double Bay Weddings

Thank you to everyone at The InterContinental in Double Bay. We stayed there for our wedding and had much prep to do. Everyone was so helpful and we are so thankful for the opportunity to stay in the Royal Suite. The coordination, ease, helpfulness, environment, location and professionalism was amazing.

Our wedding experience was nothing short of spectacular and so thank you for being a large part of that. Weve since returned to stay with our dogs (in a non suite room- which are classy and comfortable) and they were welcomed as well and had the best time.

Just an amazing room & service. My only gripe is the minibar. For how much the room I booked is, I would think that anything non alcoholic or edibles should be complimentary. I paid $6 for a small block chocolate that is barely $2 in the supermarket. Other equivalent priced hotels or even lower offer free minibar. Just my thoughts.

Lovely spacious bright and comfortable room. Staff are superior - were fun, friendly and very accommodating Food very nice. Breakfast buffet particularly good with big range. I'll be back.

As a Diamond Elite Ambassador of IHG, my stay began with a warm welcome, where I was pleasantly surprised with a double upgrade to a splendid "1 King Classic Balcony Bayside" room. The hotel staff was attentive and hospitable throughout, offering a glass of champagne during check-in, and honouring my Club Lounge access along with other privileges.

The room was generously spacious and clean, featuring a remarkable TV system with an impressive selection of on-demand options. The bathroom, though compact, provided a relaxing experience with a shower and luxurious amenities. A delightful welcome amenity, including chocolate truffles and macarons, added to the experience.

I indulged in room service, savouring the delectable ra King Salmon Gravlax paired with a glass of Benjamin Darnaults Picpoul de Pinet, an unexpected delight. The hotel's rooftop offered a breathtaking view of Double Bay, with a lovely pool and seating areas to unwind and enjoy the vibrant harbour while surrounded by tranquility.

After a rejuvenating nap, I checked out smoothly, using my Welcome Amenity Drink Vouchers at the bar before bidding farewell to this magnificent hotel. Access to the city was easy, with the nearby ferry providing picturesque journeys to Circular Quay.

In summary, my stay at the InterContinental Sydney Double Bay was exceptional, with attentive service, delightful surprises, and memorable experiences. The hotel's proximity to the ferry adds to its charm, making it a hidden gem worth exploring in Sydney.

Absolute beautiful location the family loved every minute

Everything about this place is stunning. The rooms with the marble, right down to the finest of details such as the linen on the bed. Just beautiful the view and all, definitely worth the price!
The bar/ restaurant serves the best food! Everything I tried was so good, and im a big foodie so im quite critical.
The rooftop pool, the bar up there, is also immaculate, clean, well designed & you'll want to be there for hours.

The only negatives, were that the service could've been a little better. They could be alot more helpful, and more prompt.

It's luxurious but the service is really lacking. Alot of guest complained about the same thing whilst I was staying there.

Awesome staff, hotel and location! Kara at the front desk, Peter & Madarick at valet were the highlights of our stay at InterContinental. It was perfect it every way, with services and kindness, anticipating our needs. Did I mention the lovely rooftop pool? Breathtaking views!

Champagne on arrival, attentive and helpful staff, great views and their rooms seem to be larger than the Sydeny intercontinental for the same room type! So close to the pier for catch a fast ferry to the CBD and walking distance to all the food and shops

A peaceful, quiet hotel choice for a stay in Sydney's eastern suburbs.
Overall we very much enjoyed our stay here. Special mention to the excellent service of both Charlotte at the front desk and the ladies in the Club lounge.
The breakfast was excellent. We would stay again.

Our family of 4 just enjoyed wonderful weekend at the InterContinental Double Bay along with our Dog. All the staff were wonderful and attentive. We will be back soon!

We held a wedding ceremony and high tea reception at the hotel courtyard. The events manager has been very helpful and responsive right from the beginning when we did our enquiry and site visit. We had many questions and requests, and the events manager tried her best to accommodate everything to make our wedding day extra special and smooth. She also communicated directly with our vendors regarding the wedding day's arrangements to save us time from going back and forth between the vendors and the hotel. On the actual wedding day, the banquet team did a great job ensuring everything ran smoothly. The canapes and high tea food items were also superb, our guests were really impressed and said they would be going back to the hotel again for their high tea.

The room although upgraded to the 5th floor with harbour views was a little tired The bathrooms look grand with Marble but the old girl showing her age for this calibre of hotel Carpets in the hall are showing a bit of age too
On walking into the premises My personal experience was the concierge seemed hectic and person at the drive in area when I first walked in wasnt fantastically welcoming

The GOOD !

The view was beautiful from my upgraded Harbourside room and there was no noise from the construction site close by which was lucky A very quiet night sleep

The staff get an A++ . People I came across from Lisa the room director , the hospitality staff working in the Club room and breakfast Bar and reception staff were all excellent Always had a welcoming smile and always were happy to say hello and help you Well done !(very unlike Double Bay itself from growing up in Sydney city)
