Such a beautiful venue for a wedding! I have attached over 30 pictures for reference.
The parking is at the back:
$30 until 4pm, and only $10 after 4pm :)

The exterior is very well maintained. The wedding that I shot there had a little over 100 guests, and they all fit under cover very happily.
We also had access inside, where there is a museum.
Very nice location, and I'm glad we could be there to shoot :)

Definitely a hidden gem of a museum in the heart of the city. The main exhibition creates a cohesive timeline of Hellenic culture and history, supported by a very informative and well structured audio guide (that the helpful staff member assisted in setting up on my phone). Great way to spend a quiet afternoon relaxing and learning.

What a beautiful museum, tucked away at the top of the city. Super friendly and informative staff made for a great start. A lovely and varied collection of pieces from the early bronze age to the Roman period, different time pieces that were a joy to see. I mean they are from Europe..so to see this in Oz was fantastic and worth a visit before this exhibition ends. 'The' sculpture..is breathtaking and worth seeing. There is an Olympic torch exhibit too which was so interesting. Easy to get to as on tram and train line. Only $12 entry fee - worth it! No food or drinks but cafes nearby.

Fantastic current exhibition showcasing 8000 years of Greek history. Very friendly and helpful staff, and fantastic ancient Greek artefacts. You'd struggle to find such treasures outside of Greece, in many other places. We'll worth the entrance fee. Very central. Highly recommended.

Worth a visit when in Melbourne. It will take around 1.5 hours if you take your time around the many different exhibitions. A great insight provided into the Hellenic world

Found it by accident on the way back from Victoria Markets. Located in the Mint Building in William Street - a fantastic group of visting exhibits from Greek Museums - some artifacts over 5,000 years old. Just beautiful. The staff are friendly and could not have been more helpful. There's a small gift shop with quality items. A must see if you're interested in Greek History. Great value at $12 for adults.

Amazing Hellenic Museum with extraordinary ancient Greek artefacts and Olympic torches throughout all the years from 1935 till today. A must to visit. We attended today being the 25th March Greek Independence Day. A magical experience with lots of Greek festive dances, great food/coffee and lots of entertainment for the kids. Definitely going again...loved it

The Hellenic Museum has an impressive collection of Mycenaean, Crypriot, Archaic, Classical Greek and Byzantine artifacts. Pottery, bronze weapon and armour, statue, icon and painting. It's near the Flagstaff station and tram stop. This museum also has concession price for students and health care card holders.

Absolutely mind blowing exhibitions. Ancient Greece to contemporary art is all covered. Very friendly staff. Can't believe I've never visited before.

A lovely little museum. It is recommended you have at least an hour to walk around, I personally spent around 3 hours here. Lots to read & view. Lovely customer service & the art exhibitions were beautiful

If you like Corinthian helmets, you'll love this museum.

Private fee museum. There is an exhibition of torches from previous Olympic Games. There are not many Greek exhibits. You can visit when passing by.

Had an amazing time exploring this Lovely little museum. The volunteers were kind and helpful and the items on show were interesting and presented wonderfully.

Fascinating museum and collection

High quality exhibits with large amounts of authentic artefacts, along with original art installations from the local community. Very interesting material, and the receptionist was extremely helpful and enthusiastic. Fully recommended if you have an hour to spare.

As a fan of Greek mythology, I love this museum so much.

Gorgeous building full of amazing Hellenistic archaeological peices that is sure to arouse the Indiana Jones in even the darkest of souls!

Awesome venue for a wedding! We didnt go inside the venue but the outdoor area was simple but picturesque with the museum as a backdrop. The staff were incredibly professional and friendly. Definitely recommend.

If possible a better seating options, it was quite difficult to see the screen.

Interesting exhibitions

Nice and inexpensive! With seven exhibitions it covers all of Greek history, up to the twentieth century. For those who are passionate about Lord Byron, there is also an exhibition on the upper floor dedicated to him. For European standards poorly supplied, but still appreciable.

I was so surprised & impressed by the displays and the lovely staff member at the front desk shared my enthusiasm for the space, which made the visit even more enjoyable . One of many highlights was the Well Behaved Women exhibit, featuring powerful portraits by Loretta Lizzio that depict influential women from ancient Greek history and mythology. This exhibit sheds light on the often-overlooked stories of these remarkable women. I also purchased some beautiful postcards to remember my visit. This museum is a true cultural gem that is worth every moment. Thanks to the Oracle for sage advice too :)

Judging from outside first, it seems to be unbelievable that such a relatively small museum building is able to house such an extensive collection of ancient to modern tomes' Greek artifacts. And so far away from Mother Greece!

Such a beautiful museum. I recommend this place if you're interested in Greek culture.

I've been here many times in the past, I went recently and just fell in love with it all over again. Such a wonderful experience packed with great exhibitions!

The exhibits of the classical era are well described, and the ticket price ($12 for adults, $7 for students) is well worth it. The museum building itself is also very gorgeous (the former Melbourne Mint). If you like Greek culture, don't miss this place!

It would be even better if the Byzantine icons could also be described in detail.

The museum was out of this world, from the featured artists to the historical pieces shown. The museum was very clean and well set out and the staff members were incredibly nice. This was the highlight of my entire Melbourne vacation.

I think this is a lovely little museum, with fine displays, in a gorgeous historic building. It also has an impressive programme of activities and seems remarkably friendly.

Went to a wedding here. Lovely venue and the food was awesome. Highly recommend for an event.

Beautiful collection of ancient bronzes and sculptures, including history of ancient weapons.

Probably the best museum experience in Melbourne.

With a good 2 hours or more, you will get you to see and learn about Greek mythology and artifacts, current exhibitions.

With a bit of luck youll also have the opportunity of a hands on experience with replicas and a lively conversation with the staff who are extreme friendly, passionate and willing to share. To make sure you dont miss it, Id recommend you check their website or social media.

The gift shop is probably the only one Ive seen where the selection of products a feel genuinely thought out and memorable.

Absolutely fantastic job on all accounts. I will return on my next trip to Melbourne to see new curated collections, more history about Greece and Rome and temporary exhibitions.
