Offering views across the Onkaparinga Gorge and Gulf of St. Vincent, Chapel Hill Winery provides space for an intimate wedding. Originally the Christian Bible Church for the local area, the function area is now part of the winery which encompasses 44 hectares of vineyards. Ceremonies are performed on a terrace that overlooks the vineyard. Ten accommodation suites are available for the wedding party, family or visiting guests.
d’Arry’s Verandah Restaurant is a hilltop winery restaurant. Wedding receptions at the venue start at the cellar door where guests can enjoy a full range tasting accompanied by canapés. The reception continues in the restaurant or on the terrace, both of which feature a sweeping view over McLaren Vale and Willunga.
The Elbow Room Restaurant provides views of newly planted vines and the surrounding hills of the McLaren Vale region. The venue has four function areas for wedding celebrations. The Dining Room overlooks the extensive grounds while the Cottage is the original nineteenth century farmhouse around which the restaurant is built. The cellar door is located beneath the main dining room, and the courtyard makes an ideal outdoor location.
A versatile function room, terrace, landing, and cellar door area are available for weddings at Maxwell Wines. The family-owned venue, with its 80-acre estate vineyard, is famous for its range of Maxwell Meads. The venue hosts cocktail-style receptions with a minimum of 100 guests. There is no sit-down option, and couples can opt for a wedding ceremony only. The venue offers a list of local suppliers who provide wedding services.
Landcross Farm, established in the 1840s as a sheep and wheat property, is the home of Paxton Wines. Receptions are held in Wheaton Pavilion, a historic barn enclosed by stone walls. This function area offers views of the Paxton gardens, vines, and valley. There are also two grassy areas that can accommodate marquees. The venue does not provide catering services.
