Sheri has honed her skills under the guidance of some of the finest professionals in the field. Her keen eye for light and detail is second to none. Plus, her laid-back and patient demeanor makes her an absolute joy to collaborate with. Specializing in fine art wedding photography, Sheri captures beautiful moments across the Hunter Valley, Sydney, Newcastle, Port Stephens, Bowral, Southern Highlands, Byron Bay, and even further afield. She also covers interstate weddings, destination events, and elopements in stunning locations like Hawaii, Thailand, and New Zealand. Sheri's talent for working with light and her gentle approach ensures that every couple looks stunning--no need to be a model to feel like one on your big day!

So, how do couples describe their experience with you, Sheri? Here's what some of your past brides have shared: "Sheri was relaxed, friendly, easy-going, and incredibly professional," and "Working with Sheri was a dream; she was calm and patient throughout." If this sounds like the wedding photographer you've been searching for, I'm thrilled you've found me! I believe we'll be a wonderful match.

What do you recommend for couples feeling camera-shy? It's perfectly normal to feel nervous! Just remember, I don't expect you to pose like models. My role is to guide you so that you feel at ease and can be your authentic selves in front of the camera. No need to rehearse poses or stress over Pinterest boards. I highly encourage an engagement session if we can arrange it. It's not just a chance to capture an important milestone; it also lets you see how I work and how you connect with each other. By the end of the shoot, you'll be feeling like a superstar, ready for your modeling debut! And don't worry--I'll ensure the final images are something you'll adore.

Do you prefer to meet couples before the wedding day? Absolutely! If we're in close proximity, let's schedule a coffee or tea to go over your wedding plans. I'm deeply involved in my clients' journeys, and many brides reach out weekly to share their plans and get my thoughts on their vision. It's quite common for us to meet before the big day. Even for destination weddings, I arrive a day early so we can explore the venue together.

Do you provide engagement sessions or other photo shoots prior to the wedding? Absolutely! These are some of my favorite sessions--whether it's engagement shoots, cozy indoor lifestyle sessions, or bridal boudoir. A boudoir shoot can be a fantastic surprise gift for your partner and a wonderful way to celebrate your body.

What kinds of wedding photo albums do you offer? When it comes to albums, I only select the best. Each one is beautifully custom-made from high-quality archival materials, ensuring that your wedding album will be a cherished heirloom for generations.

Do you shoot in both film and digital? Yes! I'm a hybrid photographer, utilizing both film and digital formats. Film is my go-to for capturing those intimate, romantic moments and intricate details. It beautifully portrays light and skin tones, creating dreamy, timeless images that my clients love. Digital photography also plays a role, and with a balanced workflow for both mediums, I compile a stunning gallery of heirloom images for you.

Do you typically work alone or with a team? Most of the time, I have my assistant with me, and a second shooter can be arranged if needed. This is entirely optional and can be discussed based on what you envision for your day. Each wedding is unique, and for smaller gatherings, you might prefer to invest in an album or an engagement session instead.

Can you share who inspires your photography? My greatest inspirations are fellow film photographers, particularly Erich McVey, from whom I've had the privilege to learn. Other photographers who inspire me include Jose Villa, KT Merry, and Lauren Fair. You should definitely check out their work; it's easy to see why I fell in love with film!

What are your favorite photography locations in and around Sydney? That's a tough question since I have so many favorite spots that vary depending on the couple. A few highlights include the beautiful beaches of Port Stephens, the stunning Karnell clifftops in Sydney, the iconic Sydney Opera House and Botanic Gardens, and the historic homes in Bowral and the Southern Highlands.

Tell us about your packages. My wedding packages include several fantastic features: a private online gallery for viewing and sharing your images, full-resolution professionally edited images on a USB, full printing rights without watermarks, and safe storage of your wedding day images for 12 months. You'll also receive 30 fine art 5x7 professional prints in a keepsake box along with your USB, unlimited communication, and additional wedding planning support. I'll share my trusted list of must-have wedding vendors too!

How many hours of photography do you recommend for weddings? I suggest booking a minimum of 7 hours, but I highly recommend 9 hours. This approach gives you comprehensive coverage of your special day, ensuring that no precious moments go unnoticed.
