What sets Liza apart is her exceptional talent as both a Hair and Makeup artist. She has had the privilege of styling renowned celebrities such as Guy Pearce, Daryl Hannah, Erin McNaught, Mike Hill, Georgina Lewis, Fiona Oloughlin, and Andrew & Melinda Gaze, among others. Her remarkable creative skills have earned her great respect in the Wedding and Fashion Industries, making her a sought-after HMU stylist for numerous Bridal Spectaculars nationwide. Her work in advertising campaigns and editorials has garnered her national attention and opened doors to high-end projects around the world.
In her early career, Liza was invited to manage the North Queensland Hair Clinic, where she developed invaluable skills in making and repairing wigs, as well as handling hairpieces and extensions. She began her Hairdressing Apprenticeship under the mentorship of Stephan Stokes, the Key Hairdresser for Warner Bros Productions. Just three years into her apprenticeship, Liza was already teaching hairdressing skills to aspiring apprentices at the Australian Institution of Tafe. Her talent shone through as she competed across the country, earning the title of Cutting and Colourist Champion for several years, and her work was featured in 'Marie Claire.' This success eventually led her to a position on 5th Avenue in New York City, where she worked as a HMUA for nearly a year.
Liza has pursued extensive training with notable names like Toni & Guy, Vidal Sassoon, and Rae Morris, and she holds diplomas from prestigious companies such as Schwarzkopf, L'Oreal Professional, Matrix, Goldwell, Wella, Joico, Kuene, M.A.C, Laura Mercier, Rae Morris, and Napoleon Perdis. Her contributions to the field of hairdressing have earned her national recognition. She also studied Advanced Makeup Application at the Sydney College of Makeup, which opened up opportunities for her on the sets of productions like Priscilla Queen of the Desert, CATS, and various commercials and documentaries, including those for the Australian Government NBN, Nova 8, Fremantle Productions, Bundaberg Rum, Great Northern, Medicare, Imparja Television, Starlight Enterprises Sydney, and many independent films.
