In 2011, Sarah-Jane made a bold move, stepping away from the corporate realm to pursue her passion by founding Studio Cakes, a tailor-made cake design company that specializes in creating exquisite cakes for weddings, corporate events, birthdays, and more. With her credentials as a qualified Pastry Chef and a deep-seated love for the arts, Sarah-Jane has combined her baking expertise with her skills in sculpture, watercolour, and texture painting to become an award-winning cake designer. In 2015, she took over the cherished Cake & Icing Centre, a beloved establishment originally founded by Margaret Rafanowicz in 1973. Under Margaret's thoughtful guidance, Sarah-Jane has honed her craft to include traditional cake decorating methods. Every bespoke creation from Sarah-Jane is crafted using top-notch recipes and ingredients, featuring Margaret's renowned chocolate mud cake and rich fruit cake, all made in a kitchen that boasts a 5-star food safety rating.
