With Sharon and Phil’s hearts set on “a beautiful, exotic and idyllic beach location,” the couple’s 90 guests enjoyed a tropical island getaway at The Library on idyllic Koh Samui.
Reflecting the resort’s famous red swimming pool and the Chinese colour of prosperity, Sharon chose a chic colour scheme of red with highlights of dark and fresh lime green. Sharon accessorized her gown with gorgeous red shoes, whilst the couple’s stationery also followed the fun colour palette.
Set with white director’s chairs, a long red carpet aisle contrasted beautifully with the white sand and bright blue water. Balls of Dendrobium orchids suspended from bamboo posts were placed alongside the chiffon swathed bamboo altar. Lotus leaves and flowers floating in white boxes were also placed alongside the red carpet.
Guests collected a bookmark with the name of a book, and the table, on it. “Each table also displayed a brief description of the book, with many guests asking if they could borrow the actual book from us later,” laughed Sharon. The couple’s wishing well ‘box’ also resembled an encyclopaedia.
