The thoughtful Trisara service begins with cool towels and chilled water as we’re picked up in a chauffered 4 Wheel Drive to be transferred to the resort. It’s an easy 20-minute drive from the airport where Trisara is situated on a private beach.
Four staff meet us at the lobby, bowing respectfully with a “Sawidika” and a genuine smile. From the moment we arrive, it’s obvious that their aim is to always exceed your expectations. One glance out of the floor to ceiling windows reveals the breathtaking resort.
A large central deck with market umbrellas overlooks the stunning infinity pool on the edge of the sand where Trisara’s private beach loungers and daybeds are tucked discretely between the palm trees.
A private teak swimming pontoon with a market umbrella is anchored just thirty metres off shore, enticing us to take a leisurely swim in the aquamarine waters.
A resort buggy whisks us to our enormous Villa, where there’s small, thoughtful touches everywhere; bowls of frangipanis floating in water, soap laid out on a leaf and a woven brown beach bag for our convenience.
Trisara takes your privacy seriously, with palms, bamboo and luscious foliage cleverly used as screening to ensure you have your own private oasis. Floor to ceiling windows with french-doors open onto your infinity pool, where each villa features spectacular ocean views, outdoor dining and market umbrellas.
You may never want to leave…but the dining options and cocktails are simply too tempting to stay in the Villa.
Cocktail hour is serious business at Trisara. Balmy evenings are spent lounging on the outdoor lounges and soft cushions. An impressive cocktail list tempts us as a pianist and singer (who have both been flown in from NYC) croon sexy standards.
Sublime dinners are enjoyed by candlelight on the deck or a grazing menu of tapas-style dining in the newly renovated cocktail lounge and stylish back-lit bar.
Dining is world-class and the Trisara breakfast is ‘to die for’. It begins with choices of yoghurt from France, tropical fruit and a range of cereals and pastries. It’s then followed by a breakfast menu that delights…waffles with mango? Eggs Benedict with goats cheese? The lightest fluffiest scrambled eggs? The choices are sublime.
And speaking of pure indulgence, you can’t go past the famous ‘Trisara Six Hand’ massage using Sodoshi products. Three therapists, six hands, 90 minutes = Honeymoon bliss at its best.
