Having just bungee jumped from Kawarau River Bridge while holidaying in New Zealand, Normie proposed to Fereshteh in his bride-to-be’s first language, Farsi.
Officially tying the knot while holidaying in Spain a year earlier, the couple’s Melbourne wedding was more a celebration for close family and friends.
Carrying a bright bouquet of colourful flowers, Fereshteh wore a stunning strapless, floor-length Baccini & Hill gown adorned with intricate beading on the bodice, teaming it with the traditional veil and simple jewellery.
Groom Normie also looked sharp in a checked shirt, tie, black waistcoat and driving cap.
After Champagne and many laughs at the couple’s inner city apartment, the bride, groom and guests merrily walked to the local hotel for a few drinks before heading to their reception where leading caterer Fred and Ginger Catering’s menu included delicious shared plates and a tempting dessert station.
“The whole day I was just so happy; my cheeks were painful from smiling by the end of the night!”
