The beauty of nature was brought inside at this extraordinary wedding. The vast space of the venue was made more intimate with lavish decoration that included an abundance of white blooms and greenery draped across the ceiling.
Gold, black and white formed the colour scheme at the reception. Lush greenery and gold design elements created a confident contrast to the venue’s sleek black interior. The bride said, “We wanted to host an elegantly styled reception with a modern, surprising twist.”
The decorations were simply breathtaking. The flowers made a statement, along with an impressive, 12-metre, gold mirror flower wall which was designed and built especially for the wedding. Glinting behind the bridal table, it was decorated with hundreds of orchids and hydrangeas.
The 7-tier wedding cake was also in keeping with the wedding’s modern design. Each layer was then decorated with phalaenopsis orchids.
At each place setting was a bespoke onyx name card written in gold calligraphy. An Ace of Spades Champagne bottle was placed on each table and Columbian roses, phalaenopsis orchids and copious amounts of greenery were featured in the centrepieces. These same blooms were also used in the bridal bouquets.
The wedding stationery featured gold foiling on black card stock. Calligraphy and gold embossed stickers with the couple’s wedding monogram completed the look.
With 700 guests, event stylist and planner, Jason James, helped create the vision.
