With the exclusive use of white roses, Carly Ferguson and Alan Jackson created a romantic wedding celebration with understated styling in Watsons Bay, New South Wales.

Carly and Alan planned their wedding in just 4 months. “Dunbar House in Watsons Bay was the first venue we looked at. It offered incredible views of Sydney Harbour and the interior was so elegant with chandeliers and patterned wallpaper.” The stately house was the inspiration for the classic styling of Carly and Alan’s wedding. 

The ceremony was held beneath a large fig tree overlooking the water. “Afterwards our guests were invited to enjoy drinks and canapés on the outdoor terrace. We were blessed with beautiful weather and the ocean seemed to sparkle beneath the sun.” 

White roses were used exclusively. Carly’s all-white wedding bouquet was loosely arranged and her bridesmaids wore corsages with 3 large roses. Roses lined the mantelpiece and the bar and one round vase of the blooms sat on every reception table. Tea lights also helped to create a warm, romantic atmosphere. 

“Our wedding favours doubled as our place cards. Each guest was given a clear, magnetic frame that had their name on the front and a thankyou message on the back. This way, after the wedding our guests could fill the frame with a memory of their own.”
