There’s only so far that Pinterest and Instagram can take you before you lose track of what you really want from the day, or more importantly, what’s going to be a true representation of who you are as a couple. So we went into it knowing how we wanted it to ‘feel’ rather than how we wanted it to look and left the rest up to fate,” said Alysha.
When choosing her gown, Alysha opted for a vintage lace paneled dress from Flannel in Mosman. Slightly altered with new lining and a sheer back, the yellow cream dress was both soft and feminine and had the perfect vintage look Alysha was after.
For his groom’s outfit, Jake chose a slim fit dark French navy suit and hand-tied black bow tie. His look was complete with a twine wrapped succulent on his lapel.
Alysha and Jake’s bridesmaids wore beautiful Grecian fit, draped dresses in French navy. Each chose their own jewellery, hairstyles and shoes to complement their personalities. The groomsmen wore simple black slim fitting suits with white shirts, as a contrast to Jake’s French navy suit.
During their ceremony, Alysha and Jake shared their own personal promises to each other, as well as saying their vows. To avoid getting overly emotional on the day - a real concern for the couple! - they decided to write their promises to one another in a letter, which they each opened the night before the wedding.
