It’s almost impossible for a groom to upstage his bride in the entrance stakes, but Frank Tarulli almost did. It was a sunny blue-sky day in March when Frank and his groomsmen – his brothers, Steven, Damien and Craig - arrived at Yering Station by helicopter. Looking sharp in charcoal suits, they made their big entrance on the lawns of the striking Yarra Valley winery as guests mingled outside the historic barn where the couple’s romantic ceremony was to be held.
But Aimee needn’t have worried. Gorgeous in a figure hugging couture gown, all eyes were on the glowing bride as she arrived at the ceremony with her mum by her side. She had managed to stay calm while she got ready, but as soon as she arrived at the winery, the romance of the venue and the emotion of the day hit her. “I struggled to hold back the tears of love, excitement and the anticipation of seeing Frank standing at the end of the aisle,” she said.
The romantic couple had always loved Yering Station, captivated by the picturesque landscape of the rolling hills, gardens and views from the restaurant. So when Frank proposed it was the first place they thought of for their big day. The barn, with its rustic, romantic feel and warm inviting atmosphere was perfect for the ceremony. Walking down the aisle to Darren’s Hayes’ version of ‘ Can’t Help Falling In Love’ moved many guests to tears. The couple, who met at a work party, exchanged vows promising to “love each other like crazy, everyday for the rest of our lives”.
Following the ceremony guests were served canapés and drinks on the terrace where a saxophonist accompanied a DJ playing cool lounge tunes. After the bridal party had their photographs taken in the picturesque vineyard, Aimee and Frank then danced into their reception to Beyonce’s ‘Crazy In Love’, setting the tone for the fun reception. With the speeches out of the way early on, everyone switched to ‘party mode’ “We had our first dance to Marvin Gaye’s ‘Let’s Get It On’ which was really fun and from then it just felt like a huge party with all of our closest family and friends”.
